When you’re dealing with people’s health and hygiene, you need to be sure of your water quality.

Tardis Environmental have been in the bulk water business for almost twenty years so we know a thing or two about water.

These days, assuring the fitness for purpose of your drinking water and the cleanliness of your storage methods comes under strict regulation.

With our new laboratory facilities, we can offer you in-house bacteria monitoring backed up with a regular testing program of your stored bulk drinking water.

We carry out daily, weekly and monthly chemical and bacteria monitoring providing strict control on the quality of water we supply from our sites which includes the water used to clean the vessels that store your drinking water all carried out following Health & Safety guidelines.

We’ve the capacity via mobile testing equipment, to provide on-site chemical and bacteria testing on water that has been stored for more than 48 hours (following drinking water guidelines). This includes a test for E-Coli analysed by UKAS accredited laboratories.

We carry out on-site cleans and Chlorination of utilities, buildings (such as welfare cabins, toilet blocks etc), providing certificates of work carried out and its compliance with Health & Safety guidelines.

We only use water storage vessels and pumps which comply with WRAS and DWI Regulation 31.

Water supplied is only drawn from wholesome water authority sources.

Other methods (which we don’t use)

Commonly (and for convenience), many testing services use a system known as ATP for on-site water testing, employing hand held meters.

ATP or Adenosine triphosphate is not a foolproof bacteria test, especially where Legionella bacteria is concerned.

To be truly sure of the cleanliness of your drinking water, opt for a sample taken on-site and analysed in a designated UKAS accredited laboratory. Testing for bacteria by these laboratories conforms to guidance set out in the ACOP L8 document and provides evidence ensuring our on-site testing regime is effective.

Tardis Environmental follow strict guidelines set out in ACOP L8 (2013) Legionnaire’s disease, the control of Legionella bacteria in water systems and the Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI) guidance document on the implementation of the water supply (Water Quality) regulations 2000 (as amended in England 2012)
