Unfortunately we’re not talking about that kind of interceptor.

Interceptors are a common drainage installation on many industrial sites and car parks throughout the UK. Interceptors are often referred to as oil catchers, oil and water tanks, wash down pits or oil water separators.

Prudent environmental management requires oil and petrol interceptors to be regularly maintained and inspected.

The build up of silt, debris and oil in underground interceptors and drainage systems increases the risk of flooding and potential pollution of watercourses or sewage systems. Regular cleaning and maintenance of these will significantly reduce your risk and should be part of your preventative maintenance programme.

As for the nitty gritty, our tankers carry 40 metres of hose as standard. More can be requested on booking, should you believe your interceptor is an awkward distance from where the vehicle can park.
